Skills and Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Independently create high-quality, high-performance, and visually appealing VFX assets for games, including real-time particle systems, textures and texture atlases, and shaders/materials
  • Work closely with designers, engineers and associated artists to design, implement and troubleshoot visual effects
  • Be autonomous, meet deadlines and actively collaborate with the team on objectives, prioritization and visual effects planning
  • Find and fix performance issues
  • Maintain a meticulous and organized approach to creating, documenting and sharing visual effects for the team
  • Have a great attitude and be a positive force in the studio - flexible and adaptable to team needs

Requirements:

  • Portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency in creating and implementing real-time VFX in a game engine like Unreal Engine or Unity, etc.
  • Proficiency in creating visual effects such as fluids/pyro/etc and lighting/rendering/compositing in a software package like Houdini/Maya/Max/Blender/etc
  • Working knowledge of real-time lighting, post-effects, shaders, and real-time performance issues
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, digital art, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in game development or related field
  • At least one AAA game delivered as VFX or technical artist

Additional:

  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 4 and Niagara
  • HLSL or equivalent shader writing language
  • Know Houdini
  • Scripts (Python, Vex, Mel, etc.)

Skills and Requirements

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Art Director to join a new team, push the boundaries of expectations and create unforgettable experiences. As Senior Art Director, you will play a key role in defining, visualizing, directing and promoting the artistic vision, while leading and strengthening our growing artistic team. Working closely with the Executive Producer, Creative Director, and Design Director, the Senior Art Director will be responsible for defining and delivering the artistic vision for the game by unleashing the team's creativity and striving for visually stunning quality while keeping them in balance with the other aspects. of our project. This role is hybrid and occupies 1 day every 2 weeks in our Horsham studio. This role would consider working entirely remotely in exceptional circumstances.
