    As Art Manager, your role will be to lead by example and be an advocate for the art team, with comprehensive knowledge of the impact of art in the development lifecycle.

    Interdisciplinary communication is essential, so you must be able to move effortlessly between teams and department managers with confidence and adaptability, adopt consistent work practices and set ambitious standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Improve short and long term plannings for a growing art department.
    • Create and track personal goals and career development for team members.
    • Identify gaps in art pipelines to ensure work practices are improved where necessary.
    • Develop derivative projects for the R&D of new software and processes.
    • Review, direct and provide positive constructive feedback to Central Artistic Directors and Managers to develop their capabilities and results.
    • Constantly update senior management on the status and progress of base art and resolutions to art production issues.
    • Collaborate with producers and art directors to identify and resolve artistic workflow and personnel issues.
    • Advocate and be a spokesperson representing the studio at trade shows and universities.

    Requirements

    • Delivered a AAA console title in a similar or comparable role.
    • Experience managing teams through the full project development life cycle.
    • Strong ability to work collaboratively and productively within interdisciplinary teams.
    • Able to identify workflow issues, identify solutions and implement them.
    • Strong aesthetic judgment and able to articulate the reasons for their actions.
    • Good understanding of game development and strong interest in art.
    • Knowledge of industry task tracking software such as Jira, Excel and MS Project.
    • Professional experience in an artistic subcontracting function would be a plus.
