    Job Description

At Iridium Studios, you would join a small but dedicated group of game developers with a passion for role-playing games and complex, character-heavy stories. But these stories need to be brought to light, and that’s where you come in!

    Responsibilities:

    • Create, model and texture environments and other game objects
    • Collaborate with artists, game designers, and programmers to ensure art assets are of high quality, support the art direction of the project, and be fully optimized
    • Be proactive in problem solving and interdisciplinary brainstorming
    • Receive feedback and edit work based on direction

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of industry experience as an environmental artist, or other relevant experience
    • Expertise in modeling, texturing and working with materials for environments and props
    • Experience with modern art principles and techniques such as lighting, composition, color theory, and staging
    • Advanced understanding of 3DSMax/Maya, Substance Designer/Painter, ZBrush, Adobe Photoshop and/or other game production tools
    • Experience creating assets in a physics-based shading and lighting model
    • Experience working with the Unreal 4 game engine
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Autonomy, passion and creativity in your work
    • Is nice to people

    Nice to have:

    • An affinity for style
    • Ability to create from your own ideas, not just from pre-existing concept art
    • Solid understanding or experience in the technical art
