    Job Description

    As a Senior Technical Artist, you’ll work alongside a talented art team who will create cutting-edge visuals, provide technical guidance, and define workflow and art pipelines.

    You will join the studio in a key role at a pivotal time as we grow to develop an ambitious and groundbreaking open-world game. The role offers the options to make a valuable personal attachment to a large-scale project.

    We believe in iterative development and you will need to be easier working in a fluid environment with expected demands.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Art Director and Technical Director to define and maintain artistic workflows.
    • Clearly communicate and document art production pipelines.
    • Shader research and development.
    • Provide guidance to artists by encouraging best working practices and strong asset organization.
    • Proactively give ideas on how to use new technologies and tools and use them into our workflow.
    • Liaise with the engine team to resolve issues and find solutions.
    • Provide instruction on technical performance and help define asset budgets.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • In-depth knowledge of game engines and the technical constraints and challenges of game development.
    • Significant experience with 3D modeling tools such as 3ds Max, Maya or ZBrush, in a video game environment.
    • Excellent technical knowledge of art pipelines, memory and rendering budgets.
    • Excellent communication skills and comfortable working in multiple teams.
    • Skills of at least one programming language.
    • Understanding of modern procedural asset creation techniques.
    • Keen interest in the latest advances in video game graphics and visual trends.
    • 4 years minimum knowledge as a technical artist in the gaming industry.
