    About the  Work

    • Work within the art team to define a consistent style for visual effects and ensure asset quality throughout the project.
    • Work with game designers and engineers to understand gameplay. requirements and effectively communicate the game mechanics to the player within the parameters of the project.
    • Implement real-time visual effects in the Unity game engine and iterate based on feedback from design and development teams.
    • Make sure VFX are optimized for different hardware and platforms.
    • Collaborate with other artists and designers to ensure that the game’s overall visual style is consistent.
    • Assist in the development of tools and pipelines for art production processes, including batch processing and automation.
    • Help define the scope of work to achieve milestones.

    What you will Achieve

    • Create dynamic visual effects with the overall visual style of the game.
    • Support the art director in the overall artistic vision of the game while mastering the VFX elements in game mechanics and cutscenes.

    Required skills

    • Skill in industry standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, or After Effects.
    • Strong artistic skills and understanding of traditional principles of art and animation, knowledge of 3D modeling, animation, and particle systems.
    • A clear and distinctive style, with a solid understanding of how elements work together in the overall visual hierarchy.
    • On the lookout for the latest trends and techniques in video game visual effects.
    • Basic knowledge of C# scripting.
    • Understanding of node-based material and shader workflows.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to work well in a team.
    • Organized, especially in regards to asset management (including naming systems)
    • Familiarity with version control, such as Git or Perforce.
    • Passion for video games and deep knowledge of the gaming industry and development processes.
    • Strong desire to iterate and improve inefficient processes, manage workload to communicate, and better meet tight deadlines.
