Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support and own large game environments
- Create patterns and textures for architectural and organic assets
- Compose scenes for urban and natural environments
- Research and construct reference tables corresponding to the art direction
- Defend the artistic direction and maintain visual coherence
- Make sure content is on budget and performing well
- Regularly solicit feedback from prospects and administrators
- Collaborate closely with design to support narrative and gameplay challenges
- Mentor and support junior to intermediate artists on the team.
Skills and Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience as an environmental artist;
- At least 2 published video game titles, preferably AAA;
- University or college diploma in 3D art, or relevant experience;
- Experience creating objects or environments with 3D software;
- Excellent knowledge of Zbrush and Substance Painter;
- Experience creating textures and manipulating shaders;
- Knowledge of Substance Designer an asset;
- Good technical/artistic balance.
