Hello everyone! By applying for this position, you have the chance to be part of our Argonauts Studio team. We are 30 senior (and growing!) experts with an average of more than 10 years of experience in the gaming industry. Working with a startup approach but with great support from headquarters on marketing, infrastructure, the know-how and the network – getting the best of both worlds 🙂 We have complete creative independence to build a unique DNA and identify our own niche. Our first product is about to be launched!
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design game UI including HUD + GUI elements, boot sequences, loading screens and menus;
- Implement UI assets/layouts directly in Unity 3D
- Work with UX Designer to determine UI functionality and characteristics and translate high-level gameplay ideas into visually functional UI designs;
- Ensure that game information is well conveyed through the various user interfaces;
- Work closely with the programming team to implement game assets and verify the quality of graphics once implemented.
- Maintain control of asset production, adhering to technical constraints and optimization guidelines;
- Present ideas and concepts internally to the team.
Skills and Requirements:
- 3+ years of gaming industry experience, specializing in interface creation and menu design;
- Expert in Unity 3D UI tools and best practices;
- Expert in Photoshop, After Effects;
- Excellent graphic design skills (design, layout, typography);
- Ability to design and implement a user interface to improve the ergonomic quality of the game;
- Familiar with industry game engines and prototyping workflows;
- Fluency in English, spoken and written.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of 2D animations for UI;
- Ability to implement assets into the engine;
- Knowledge of Unity VFX tools.
