We needed a skillful Technical Artist who will design and produce high quality materials for the upcoming FROSTPUNK 2. You will participate in the invention of technical art features and work closely with artists and programmers to help optimize assets.
Responsibilities
- Create high quality materials/shaders in UE5
- Responsible of Tech Art constraints, pushing for visual quality and optimal performance
- Create and maintain documentation of engine tools, methods, processes and limitations for consultation and future reference
- Work with Art Leads, Technical Directors and QA to ensure all assets meet technical requirements
- Optimization and profiling
- Join in the debugging of the final product
Requirements
- EU materials
- Rendering and post-processing
- Solid understanding of the graphics rendering pipeline for next-gen technologies
Nice to Have
- knowledge in the areas of game development:
- Visual effects
- Lighting
- procedural workflows (e.g. Substance Designer and node-based editors in general)
- Knowledge of shaders (GLSL/HLSL)
- Experience working with Source Control (preferably Perforce)
- Knowledge in 3D development software (3DS Max, Maya, Blender)
- Adept at iterative work focused on increments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of collaboration between artists and programmers
- Strong organizational skills
- Creative to find solutions
