SATISFY x Oakley Chapter VIII pairs reworked eyewear silhouettes with performance running gear

SATISFY and Oakley introduce Chapter VIII of Equipment for Our World, a technical eyewear and running apparel collection launching globally on October 13, 2026. The latest collaboration revisits two contrasting moments in Oakley’s design history, bringing back the Scar silhouette from 2001 alongside the futuristic Suture Jacket. Both models have been updated through SATISFY’s approach to performance equipment, with ventilation, optical clarity and material engineering informing the collection. Presented under the concept of archaeological discovery, Chapter VIII imagines its products as objects recovered from different eras, connecting archival design with contemporary running culture.

The SATISFY Oakley Scar revives Oakley’s first mixed-material eyewear frame, originally introduced in 2001 as part of a design lineage associated with the Jacket and X-Metal families. Its curved, high-wrap profile combines an O Matter frame with metal hinge components, retaining the construction that distinguished the original model. Two colourways, Falcon and X-Silver Metal, introduce collaboration-exclusive Prizm lenses in Tungsten and Black respectively. Integrated ventilation openings support airflow during physical activity, while the optical technology enhances contrast and visual definition across changing conditions.

The Suture Jacket approaches performance eyewear through a different construction. Its angular, high-wrap silhouette incorporates pointed extensions and Unobtainium nosepads, a material designed to improve grip in response to perspiration. Available in Grey Smoke and Transparent Yellow, both versions feature vented Prizm Black lenses developed specifically for the collaboration. While Scar emphasises the relationship between materials and mechanical detailing, Suture Jacket relies on geometry and fit to maintain stability. Each model is supplied with a custom SATISFY Oakley eyewear bag and a transparent presentation box.

Beyond eyewear, the SATISFY Oakley Chapter VIII collection introduces three technical apparel and accessory pieces developed around controlled ventilation and lightweight protection. The AuraLite Dune Perforated Long Tee uses Japanese micro-jersey fabric with laser-cut openings positioned to promote airflow during movement. Its perforated construction responds to the demands of running without introducing unnecessary structural elements. This approach carries through the collection, establishing a consistent relationship between functional surfaces, material performance and the physical conditions encountered during outdoor activity.

The AmbientWarp Cordura Trail Cap extends the ventilation system across a Cordura-reinforced softshell crown, incorporating precision-cut perforations, a durable water-repellent finish and an adjustable bungee cord closure. Completing the release, the SoftCell Bandana features a reflective Silver Foil finish designed to redirect sunlight and gradually develop a distinctive surface patina through wear. Together, the three pieces complement the eyewear through specialised fabrics and carefully positioned technical details, reinforcing the collaboration’s emphasis on equipment that responds directly to movement, heat and environmental exposure.

Chapter VIII continues the ongoing partnership between SATISFY, the performance running brand, and Oakley, the American eyewear company established in 1975. The collection’s visual narrative presents the Scar and Suture Jacket as relics from separate periods, using this fictional excavation to connect Oakley’s archival experimentation with future-oriented design. Released globally on October 13, 2026, the SATISFY Oakley collection is available through both brands’ websites, SATISFY SUPPLY in Paris and selected Oakley stores and retail partners worldwide.
