On “Mermaid”, Pearly Drops and Cub Sport plunge into a surreal, shimmering underworld, peeling back the glossy veneer of Hollywood to reveal something far more haunting. With dreamy vocals, operatic touches, and lush pop textures, the track reimagines fame and fantasy as a hypnotic descent into the strange and sublime. It’s equal parts seductive and unsettling, are a glitter-soaked detour through the shadows of Sunset Boulevard.
