“Misplaced” marks a powerful step forward for Liverpool-based Zara Smile. Fueled by the ache of gender dysphoria and the quiet rage of invisibility, the track is a raw anthem bout the feeling of being out of sync with the world, or with oneself. “Misplaced” cuts through with aching melodies to create a soundscape where pain and power coexist. Released during Pride Month and backed by the Next Up North initiative by Come Play With Me, the track is a visceral declaration of identity, resilience, and belonging.
