With “Ever Since You Said I’m Leaving” Monro crafts a late-night heartbreak sublimation, pulsing with emotional urgency and moody alt-R&B textures. Driven by hushed vocals, hypnotic loops, and a confessional tone, the composition sublimates the raw spiral that follows a breakup: racing thoughts, sleepless nights, and the aching hope for reconciliation. All this, wrapped in a haze of atmospheric production and dark, introspective beats, channelling disorientation and emotional weight.
