“Haven’t You Heard”, by Father of Bozos, casts romantic yearning in the technicolor glow of superhero myth. The track is an ode to reckless devotion and undying belief in the power of love to save. The verses ground us in intimate, dreamlike imagery: “we step on cracks in the pavement, we’re falling through the half-lit streets”. While the chorus blasts off into a celestial promise: “I’m up in the atmosphere… fly halfway ‘round the world in a cloud of gold.” There’s something unapologetically earnest here.
