Axel Arigato and Alvin Armstrong present a collaborative collection shaped by art and color
The Axel Arigato and Alvin Armstrong collaboration moves with a sense of focused energy, presenting a series defined by color, motion and the tactile presence of contemporary craft.
Rooted in the artist’s figurative approach and the brand’s Scandinavian clarity, the project interprets Armstrong’s visual language through silhouettes that carry texture forward with refined precision.
The partnership signals a deep exchange between fashion and studio practice, translating painterly gestures into garments and footwear that feel immediate yet carefully shaped.

Armstrong’s first partnership of this kind positions his techniques within new dimensions, shifting his approach from canvas to wearable form.
Working closely with the design teams in London, he adapted the rhythms of his brushwork into material compositions, studying how pigment, contrast and directional lines could guide construction.
The collaboration channels the expressive cadences found in his painting The Listening Skies, from which hues of ochre, yellow, blue and black serve as the foundation of the collection’s chromatic identity.

The pieces carry this palette with clarity, allowing each garment to hold its own sense of movement. Sculptural textural contrasts define items such as the oversized brushback inside-out fleece sweater with yellow linear details and pronounced frayed sleeves.
The reversible chocolate brown fleece introduces a more grounded expression with a signature zipper motif. A silk dress shirt presents a custom reprographic of The Listening Skies, and a white denim co-ord introduces subtle yet vivid color-pop hardware.
Even the knitted balaclava participates in the visual discourse, echoing tones and directional lines that tie the collection together.

A parallel narrative appears in Armstrong’s series of 100 individual hand-drawn artworks dedicated to jazz musicians. Each one-of-one illustration is stitched onto white t-shirts, turning the expressive immediacy of live music into intimate wearable pieces.
These works position creativity within community, underlining the artist’s long-standing connection to the collective energy of performance.

The collaboration further introduces Squish, a new Axel Arigato sneaker defined by sculptural curves and a distinctive compressed gum sole.
Crafted in Portugal from premium nubuck and suede, the silhouette carries references to skate culture, modern sculpture and organic form.
Offered in black/gum and blue/gum for the collaboration, it channels the same gestural qualities found throughout Armstrong’s work and extends the collection’s emphasis on form meeting emotion.
As noted by Creative Director Jens Werner, the project grew beyond a single reference point, becoming an open dialogue shaped by curiosity and shared process. The Axel Arigato x Alvin Armstrong collection releases globally on November 13, 2025 through the brand’s website and select flagship locations.
