As the first single from Chambers, Markus Sieber’s new album under his Aukai moniker, it captures the essence of an artistic experiment conducted in solitude. Recorded entirely by Sieber himself within the acoustically revered Saal 3 at Berlin’s Funkhaus (a room purpose-built for chamber ensembles and recently revived by pianist Nils Frahm). The result is a composition that offers spaciousness without emptiness. “Vulture” doesn’t reach outward so much as it invites the listener inward, it radiates the kind of warmth you don’t notice until it’s already seeped into your bones.
