“Take Control” is the sound of thought becoming motion: of ideas unspooling through keys, wires, and rhythm until they lock into something precise and propulsive. The title track of Mischa Blanos’ forthcoming album arrives as a manifesto of creative intention. What begins as concept ends up kinetic: a composition that moves with clarity and conviction, as though following a thread only Blanos can see. A pianist since the age of seven, Blanos exists in constant transit between two musical hemispheres. Like a voltage converter for expression, he feeds classical discipline into electronic urgency, channelling the same energy through grand piano strings as he does through boomy underground systems like Berlin’s Watergate or Paris’ Rex. “Take Control” reflects that duality elegantly: its rhythmic pulse hints at late-night reverie, while its structure feels honed, almost mathematically poised. One foot in improvisation, the other firmly braced in design.
