The new Aesop store is situated within the Gurney Plaza retail complex, the space was created by the company’s in-house Design Department.
It features a harmonious balance between the built and natural, the concealed and the exposed, the robust and the soft. The interior is framed by a structure of tessellating steel supports, which stretch floor to ceiling and wrap the walls to recall an exoskeleton or refined scaffolding. Forest-green wool-covered walls effect a pleasing softness in contrast to the solid, angular forms of the demonstration sinks and sales counter.
