During Milan Design Week 2024, ATELIER FERRARO took center stage at Palazzo Giureconsulti to reveal its highly anticipated limited series, Ephemeral Décor. This extraordinary collection of blown glass vases is the result of a captivating collaboration between Catawiki and Masterly, showcasing a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design philosophy.
Drawing inspiration from the timeless brilliance of Jugendstil master Émile Gallé, the Ephemeral Décor series embarks on a journey to redefine modern decoration, contemplating the transient essence of beauty. Each vase serves as a canvas where delicate flowers like Juliet roses, Asian ranunculus, and wild tulips intertwine with molten glass, leaving behind a trace of fleeting elegance. But there’s more to these pieces than meets the eye; within the glass lies a delicate and ephemeral element: ash. This burnt residue, now transformed into a unique decorative motif, gradually releases from the vase over time, unveiling a new dimension of its allure.
