Circular installation by Avoir combines bar meeting table and kitchen counter
Avoir introduces ROUND PROBLEMS, a circular installation designed for an international industrial trade fair. The project centers on a continuous ring table that functions at once as restaurant bar, meeting table and kitchen counter. By uniting hospitality, work and display within a single structure, the installation redefines how industrial exhibitions can organize both technical content and social interaction.
At the core of the circular design, a central display showcases exploded components that highlight the mechanics of manufacturing. An adjacent wall extends this narrative, presenting hardware tooling as part of the exhibition environment. Rather than concealing processes, the installation positions technical detail as a visual and educational element, turning industrial knowledge into a shared experience.
The project is realized with furniture partner Loehr Furniture, whose craftsmanship reinforces Avoir’s precise approach to construction. The clean geometry of the circular table not only structures circulation but also supports equal participation, ensuring each visitor is part of the same collective space.
Founded in Paris in 2019, Avoir is an architecture and design studio working across buildings, interiors, exhibitions, installations and furniture. Free from rigid stylistic doctrines, the practice combines conceptual rigor with technical expertise to address cultural and industrial contexts. ROUND PROBLEMS expresses this ethos by bringing together design, industry and hospitality within a single platform.
By integrating food, conversation and industrial hardware, the installation transforms the traditional trade fair into a multifunctional environment. It situates production processes alongside daily rituals, creating a space where technical innovation and social exchange occur simultaneously. The result demonstrates how design can create environments that connect industrial practice with contemporary cultural experience.
