Awir Villa by Zomorrodi & Associates
The Awir Villa project, designed by Zomorrodi & Associates, stands as a testament to innovative architectural design, harmoniously integrating Bohemian charm with contemporary urban living. Situated in the Al Awir area of Dubai, UAE, this project occupies a built-up area of 2,500 square meters on a sprawling 25,000 square meter plot.
The villa complex comprises five main buildings: the main villa, the guest villa, the stable, the majlis (sitting area), and the banquet hall. Additional facilities include two entrance buildings (north and west), security, staff quarters, a children’s playground, a paddle court, a tennis court, an outdoor pool, a barbecue area, a gazebo, and walking paths.
One of the main challenges of the Awir Villa project was to redesign the buildings in accordance with UAE regulations and standards while preserving the original structure. The previous design adhered strictly to symmetry and formal lines. However, by reinforcing the structure and creating new volumetric compositions, the design team developed multiple activity scenarios, resulting in a dynamic volume that is both site-compatible and responsive to internal and external needs.
These volumes feature various arcades and terraces offering different views, and the windows serve as both connection points and entrances, fostering interaction between the interior and exterior spaces. The main villa boasts three floors equipped with amenities such as a cinema room, gym, party hall, spa area, dry sauna, Jacuzzi, and traditional bath. Additionally, a workshop space caters to those interested in artistic pursuits.
Awir Villa, located in the Al Awir Desert of Dubai, captures a unique architectural vision that seamlessly blends Bohemian style with the modern urban landscape. Visitors are greeted by a bright and airy ambiance that transports them to a realm of artistic expression and liberated living. This project epitomizes the fusion of Bohemian charm and contemporary urbanity, providing residents with a sanctuary of comfort, leisure, and artistic inspiration.
