Automatic painting is incredible and the result is sometimes beautiful.
I wondered what would happen if I intervened by introducing a machine into the equation. I simply made a procedural system in which a flat drawing is given geometry in three-dimensional space and I submitted it to the laws of physics.
Carmelo Barberá is a Valencian Director and 3D artist based in Madrid. He has studied architecture at Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and the Direction of Photography by Septima Arts. Since 2005 Carmelo has worked in Film and Advertisement for brands like: Seat, Axe, Cornetto, Unilever, and Iberia between others. He uses CGI and Procedural Design in his work in creating a clean and accurate contemporary aesthetic, experimenting with new techniques, and developing projects with strong storytelling.
