Colors And The Kids unites sport and play in a colorful animation
Nike and LEGO, two iconic brands that resonate with audiences across generations, recently teamed up in a groundbreaking collaboration that merges the worlds of sport and play. Tasked by Nike Kids Global, the interdisciplinary studio Colors And The Kids embarked on an ambitious project to create a hero announcement that encapsulates the spirit of both brands in an engaging and memorable way. The brief was simple yet profound: to produce an iconic animation that would captivate viewers and showcase the partnership’s unique blend of energy and creativity.
The resulting 15-second film is a vibrant and kinetic exploration of this collaboration, where the boldness of Nike meets the imaginative charm of LEGO. The animation is designed to be visually striking and sonically compelling, featuring a bespoke music score crafted from the distinctive sounds of LEGO brick clicks, alongside the dynamic sounds of movement, sport, and play. This unique auditory experience not only enhances the visual narrative but also reinforces the partnership’s playful yet competitive essence.
Designed for a wide digital rollout, the animation is poised to reach audiences globally through various platforms. Notably, the campaign includes large-scale out-of-home advertisements in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Shanghai. The centerpiece of the launch is the LA Circa Billboard in Los Angeles, where the animation is displayed across a stunning curved 3D screen. This innovative approach not only transforms the cityscape but also redefines public engagement with digital art, making it a true spectacle for onlookers.
Colors And The Kids, based in Berlin, is an interdisciplinary studio that excels in merging design, motion, and music to push the boundaries of brand identity and cultural expression. Their collaborative approach involves working with global brands that share a commitment to originality and cutting-edge practices.
