Deron Daum´s “Cozy Blanket” dives into nostalgia, change, and the fleeting nature of memories and life itself. The composition explores nostalgia, the impermanence of life, and the desire for one’s existence and memories to endure through the passage of time and change. Deron says: “ The music began as a nod to “Subdivisions” by Rush. The main chords have a similar rhythm, to which I added a modern danceable beat. The chorus features electric guitars in harmony. To achieve a mournful yet memorable ending, I layered several interlaced vocals ending a’cappella”.
