Emina Sonnad´s “Sad Man” deals with frustration, disappointment, and resentment in a relationship that appears to be emotionally and psychologically draining. Feeling self-absorbed and self-destructive leads to the realization of deserving better. She expresses embarrassment over being involved with someone who is indifferent to her and states that the opposite of love is indifference, and that does not fit with her.
