Samsung Newfound Equilibrium Technology
SAMSUNG and CHEIL have invited Clim Stdudio to be the Digital Creators for their exhibit at the 2024 Milan Design Week. This project shifts from creating visuals for products to designing a large-scale art installation. The exhibit explores the co-existence between humans and technology, offering a mesmerizing and satisfying audiovisual experience. It invites audiences to discover a digital realm surrounding the creative process, providing a tangible interpretation of thoughts and ideas, and reflecting the collective dream of humans creating together for a better future.
Exhibits demand a different approach compared to TV campaigns or social content. They involve synchronized LED screens, projection mapping, vast physical spaces, immersive multichannel audio, and enormous screens reflecting on mirror-like floors and ceilings. Elements such as rhythm, size, detail, pace, and movement cadence must be reconsidered with the audience’s experience at the core.
The exhibit encourages a slower pace, allowing the audience to create and experience a relationship with the visuals, sound, space, and the installation as a whole. The “Innovative” space starts from the essential, enabling visitors to explore future possibilities. Here, technological innovation acts as an enabler for new ideas. Motion capture technology detects movements, responding as if it anticipates them, revealing visuals that offer a deeply satisfying, contemplative experience.
The “Harmonious” space combines technology and human experience in a complementary manner. Images through windows transform into organic shapes, unveiling a new world. This space embodies synergy, where everything works in unison. It represents the search for an inclusive future, encouraging moments of contemplation and showcasing a newfound equilibrium.
