The GO wheelchair is the culmination of an exhaustive two-year research journey led by LAYER. During this period, the studio conducted in-depth interviews with numerous wheelchair users and medical professionals. Their invaluable insights served as the foundation for removing the stigma surrounding wheelchairs and refocusing on creating a user-centric mobility solution.
LAYER’s commitment to improving the lives of wheelchair users led to the development of the revolutionary GO wheelchair. This design is a result of a six-month insight-gathering phase, during which the team not only listened to the needs of the community but also conducted experimental research in the field of 3D printing. The outcome is a wheelchair that perfectly aligns with the individual’s body shape, weight, and disability, reducing the risk of injury and enhancing overall comfort and flexibility.
