Shanghai-based studio Shanghai Hip-pop has recently unveiled an ethereal restaurant that offers Omakase-style Japanese food.
The establishment, called Omakase, is located in Shanghai and looks like a virtual-like labyrinth. The visual environment of the 160 square-metre restaurant is taking its visitors to a journey to the romance of Sakura, the Japanese cherry blossom festival. Hip-pop took inspiration also from computer games creating a hyper-reality space. The team of designers wanted to create a romantic interior that would make visitors feel as if they were a character in this magical scenery.
