The 8th edition of the Isola Design Festival, hosted by Isola, promises to be a highlight of Milan Design Week 2024. Breaking away from convention, the festival will venture into new locations within the Isola Design District, transforming hidden gems into vibrant hotspots of creativity. With a theme of “This Future is Currently Unavailable,” the festival challenges attendees to consider the role of design in addressing real-world issues.
According to Gabriele Cavallaro, co-founder and CEO of Isola Design Group, this theme is a call to action and reflection, inspired by the untapped potential within the global design community. The festival aims to redefine design as a catalyst for innovation and sustainability, fostering collaboration across disciplines.
By bringing together over 320 international designers and creators, the event seeks to showcase forward-looking proposals that integrate innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship. Through exhibitions, installations, workshops, and discussions, participants will explore cutting-edge ideas that shape the future trajectory of the design industry.
