Jacob Becker’s “Lotus” states a sonic journey through Nature and Alienation. The composition, as a perfect sample of the album´s main concept, invites us to reflect on the complexity flooding from the interplay between a quest for purity and our impact on the environment. That contrasting tandem is reflected by the sound design, that is, on his own words: “a practice of highly processed sampling composed solely of manipulated acoustic guitar and voice”.
