Platige Image is looking for a talented Grooming Artist to bring amazing CG projects to life in a very believable way. We have many projects from AAA game cutscenes and other high-end 3D to VFX projects, and our artists need to apply their skills in different ways, depending on their daily needs. 

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES IN BRIEF

  • Prepare CG characters to a photorealistic level of finish.
  • Work intimately with other pipeline teams for the best quality.
  • Understand visual references and art direction.
  • Meet deadlines and solve day-to-day problems.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of knowledge in the CG or game industry.
  • Skills of Maya and Yeti or XGen.
  • A good sense of form and detail when it comes to organic models.
  • Arnold's Production Knowledge
  • Excellent contact skills and ability to work in a team.

MORE NOTE

  • Knowledge of all aspects of 3D and VFX pipeline stages.
  • Character artist background.

Job Details

We needed  a talented Technical Artist to join our RPG department, who is responsible for the development of RAID: Shadow Legends, a mobile MMORPG that combines battle-gathering mechanics and cutting-edge graphics in a dark fantasy setting. Our flagship title is enjoyed by over 81 million gamers worldwide - you can find it on iOS, Android and PC/Mac.

The successful candidate will be part of a brand new team developing a new set of features in the RAID: Shadow Legends universe. The team will work directly with the universe of our flagship title to create a mini-game. We are looking for someone who can provide a creative approach to the development of high quality graphics and high end visual effects.

Although simpler in terms of gameplay, this mini-game will be just as dynamic and will include similar RPG elements: character leveling, the ability to acquire skills and upgrade characters, and engage in boss fights.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up an infrastructure for creating graphic resources
  • Create prototype features in close collaboration with artists and developers
  • Configuring in-game lighting, camera angles, shadows, character movement, and location elements
  • Creation and optimization of shaders
  • Design and assemble animated character controllers in collaboration with the art director and animation artists

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant work experience in game development
  • Solid knowledge of Unity
  • Experience creating shaders, both manually (using HLSL/Cg) and using node-based editors

As an environmental artist, you'll work closely with the game world, seeing it grow before your eyes and hands. Maybe one day you will populate a shore with beautiful rocks, the next day you will tell what happened in a forgotten alley behind a theater.

Your responsibility will basically be to build the foundations of the world with a focus on things like architecture, geology, and foliage, among others. 

Responsibilities

  • Creating high-poly and low-poly models for environmental objects. Everything related to structures, terrain, vegetation, etc.

  • Able to UV map effective layouts that work well within project constraints
