Job Details

Reporting to the Studio Director, the Production Director will provide vision and direction to the studio and establish a roadmap to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry.

As a member of the studio leadership team, one of our primary goals will be to directly contribute to shaping our studio's culture, communication, accountability, and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Champion leadership in production. Lead the culture and create a sense of community within the team and evangelize that culture throughout the studio. Demonstrate teamwork, charisma, enthusiasm and a strong sense of commitment even in critical situations while anticipating problem situations and dealing with them immediately.
  • Own the production team. Build and maintain the 3-year production roadmap, provide clear vision, strategy and direction to the team. Define a service strategy that delivers high quality and cost-effective systems, collaborate with management teams for long-term planning, organizational goals, service strategies, key priorities, change management and mitigation risks. Propose, manage and regularly measure the annual budget to ensure production and its services are delivered with the best value proposition while continually identifying opportunities to evolve successful practices into new global services.
  • Drive improvements and processes. Establish a clear decision-making framework in the production process and ensure that the team respects the structure. Oversee and manage the development and deployment of software that can be integrated with production requirements and systems to facilitate their production pipelines. Set service level goals, measure team performance, and drive improvements across all disciplines.
  • Expand the studio. Enhance studio capabilities and skills, ensure succession planning within the team. Coach and provide development and training opportunities, clear job expectations and ambitious goals to ensure consistency and fairness in their performance reviews. Participate in the identification of new talents and supervise their integration.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in business administration, project management or equivalent
  • Shipped at least 1 AAA console game as a producer or associate producer
  • Solid experience in team and project management
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methods and tools
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of video game development professions and processes
  • Solution-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure;
  • Passionate about video games and game creation
