Kasia Muzyka presents sacred abstract art in Chelsea this June

Kasia Muzyka unveils spiritual abstract works in New York Chelsea gallery

This June, the New York art world will witness a unique and contemplative exhibition as Kasia Muzyka brings her solo show The Sacred Condition of Being to Chelsea. Running from June 12 to June 16, 2025, at 522 West 19th Street, the exhibition introduces a body of work rooted in spiritual inquiry and material alchemy.

Known for her integration of natural substances like wine, coffee, earth pigments, and vibrational water, Muzyka’s practice transcends traditional art-making, positioning each canvas as a vessel of sacred energy and memory.

Kasia Muzyka’s approach is deeply intuitive, shaped by mysticism and quantum perspectives. She does not impose form upon her materials but allows each piece to emerge through a process of attunement and surrender.

This methodology reveals itself in the exhibition’s most evocative works, including Zero, which channels the primordial void of pure potential, and Before First Breath, an intimate portrayal of the spirit on the verge of embodiment.

These works are not merely visual; they function as spiritual portals and energetic mirrors, engaging the viewer in a nonverbal dialogue of remembrance.

The artist describes her creative process not as invention but as revelation. “I don’t create these paintings, I uncover them,” Muzyka explains. Her works seem to breathe with presence, inviting viewers to enter a liminal space between self and cosmos, matter and vibration, memory and becoming.

This act of uncovering aligns with Muzyka’s larger vision: to offer art not as a passive object but as a living transmission, a sacred act of reconnection in a fragmented world.

The Sacred Condition of Being is particularly notable for its integration of natural and ritualistic materials. Egg tempera, vibrational water, and other organic elements play central roles in the aesthetic and symbolic language of the show.

These materials do not merely serve visual function; they are chosen for their frequency, their history, and their alchemical resonance. In works like I and Ja, the viewer is invited to confront the multiplicity of self and choice, while 100 gestures toward a quantum threshold of inner knowing and ancestral remembrance.

Muzyka’s background as a Polish-born artist now based in Minneapolis adds further dimension to her practice. Her transnational experience informs a visual language that bridges cultural memory, intuitive spirituality, and embodied emotion.

With past exhibitions in both the U.S. and internationally, her work has developed a following among collectors and spiritual communities drawn to art as a healing and integrative force.

Visitors to the Chelsea exhibition can expect more than an encounter with abstract painting; they are welcomed into a sensory environment that challenges the boundary between observer and artwork.

The gallery itself becomes a contemplative space, offering a pause from external noise and an invitation into inner stillness. The opening reception on June 12 from 6 PM to 9 PM provides a communal opportunity to engage with this space in shared presence.
