‘KIYOMI KOBAYASHI – The story of geisha’ was created and directed by artist Yi Le. The story of the personal Le art film is placed in Kyoto, 1872. The scenes portrait geisha Kobayashi and Hideyoshi, who fell in love with each other. The war separates the two lovers and they will not meet again. Yi Le want the watcher to reflect upon the disgrace war brings to humans and also the women status during those years.
“I was really impressed by the great temples ,garden and people there,I felt very peaceful when I was in Kyoto. Unlucky, I didn’t have a chance to watch the performance of geisha at that time, but I saw a lots of geisha walking on the streets,It’s like time never passed!”, said Yi Le.
