Lexytron is the musical project of Lexy and Mike. As they say from themselves: “John & Yoko. Jack and Meg. Now Lexy & Mike: a creatively offbeat English husband and wife songwriting and musical duo based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), NZ. After turning heads with the genre-bending debut Something Blue, Lexytron returned with Something New, an album that deepens her signature blend of alternative pop, sardonic wit, and raw emotional honesty. “Another Lover” is the pulsing heart of that transformation, capturing the spirit of expression with equal parts chaos and charisma. It’s a song for restless souls, caught between despair and desire, wrapped in Lexy’s biting delivery and shadowy hooks. Where her earlier work leaned into indie rock and power pop influences, this new chapter experiments with more electronic textures, self-produced in Auckland and later refined by London producer Marco Meloni.
