Maero´s “Alkaline” builds an entropic atmosphere with a complex yet catchy sound design. Experimenting with IDM, Glitch and traces of Dubstep, he dives into the concept of life and love with a minimalistic lyric. I think that Maero describes it much better: “Alkaline” is so multi-dimensional and yet so wholistic, between the hypnotic dreaminess of the main keys, the gritty syncopation of the drums, and the warmth, power and playfulness of the sub-bass.
