Masquespacio’s Design
Masquespacio, a renowned design studio, embarked on a journey three years ago to find the perfect home near Valencia, Spain. Initially drawn to city center apartments, they soon found themselves captivated by the allure of historic Valencia houses nestled in the countryside. After a tumultuous search, marked by failed attempts to purchase several properties, they stumbled upon a unique abode surrounded by nature—a place that ignited their imagination.
Their new home, a picturesque representation of early 20th-century Valencia architecture, boasts original features such as ornate lattice ornaments and a wooden door, preserving its historical charm. Inside, they meticulously preserved the hydraulic tile floors, brick walls, and ceilings, infusing each space with a sense of authenticity.
Masquespacio introduced a vibrant contrast of colors and textures, incorporating lattice-inspired furniture and layered curtains to enhance the ambiance. Transitioning into the meeting room, visitors encounter a blend of traditional elements and contemporary materials like colored microcement floors, creating a seamless connection with the home’s upper level.
Ascending the stairs reveals a striking interplay of geometric shapes reminiscent of Masquespacio’s graphic design roots and New Memphis projects. The kitchen/living area epitomizes this fusion, featuring sophisticated materials like marble and aluminum juxtaposed with bursts of color and bespoke furniture from their Mas Creations collection.
Noteworthy is their CONO collection, crafted using innovative 3D clay printing techniques, adding a sculptural element to the space. Each room tells a story, from the bathroom adorned with handmade tiles to the sleeping quarters exuding a futuristic allure with its 3D-printed bed and vibrant accents.
Masquespacio’s design ethos shines—a celebration of past and present, where history meets futurism. Their home reflects not only their professional journey but also their commitment to honoring the essence of the original structure while infusing it with their unique artistic vision.
