Milan’s Acquario Civico will host the dynamic and participatory installation “Trame” during Milan Design Week 2023. Occhio: New Horizons
German lighting brand Occhio will showcase their latest releases and explore the future of luminaire design at Milan Design Week 2023. The presentation, titled “New Horizons,” will be hosted at Villa Necchi Campiglio and will feature a multi-sensory staging and product showcase.
Occhio’s presentation promises to be an innovative exploration of the transformative power of light and its role in shaping our environments. Materica: Interna_Mente
Materica, a specialist in the wire-metallization of diverse surface materials, will showcase their ability to transform resources in beautiful and surprising ways at Milan Design Week 2023. Their installation, “Interna_Mente” will be held at Alcova and promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking exploration of the transformative power of design.
Visitors to “Interna_Mente” can expect to be immersed in an intimate, kaleidoscope-like space that invites reflection and listening. The installation showcases Materica’s unique approach to wire-metallization and offers insights into the creative possibilities of surface materials.

Eliseo H Zubiri for JCP Universe: Meta-Physical
JCP Universe’s “Meta-Physical” installation is a reflection on the confines between nature and artifice, reality and fiction. The installation will take place in digital space at Milan’s Teatro Arsenale, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience.
“Meta-Physical” is a collaboration with Oniro Lab, Argentinian digital artist Eliseo H Zubiri, and CtrlZak Studio. The installation features 15 objects that have been translated to NFTs, which visitors can explore with VR visors offering an entrance into the metaverse.
The installation invites visitors to explore the boundaries between the physical and the virtual, the natural and the artificial. “Meta-Physical” is a thought-provoking experience that challenges visitors to question their perceptions of reality and consider the possibilities of the digital world.

Daniel Arsham x Nendo: Break to Make
Renowned artist Daniel Arsham has collaborated with design studio Nendo to present a unique project called “Break to Make” at Fuorisalone 2023 in Milan. The project explores new ways of using objects with little function and is based on Arsham’s theme of fictional archaeology.
The “Break to Make” project, which will be located at Via Pinamonte da Vimercate, from April 18 to 23, 2023, involves Arsham breaking Nendo-designed wooden pieces to reverse-engineer them. The philosophy behind the project is to create something new and meaningful out of something that was previously considered useless.

Italo Rota x Carlo Ratti for Eni: Walk the Talk
Eni, a sustainable mobility brand, has collaborated with renowned architects Carlo Ratti and Italo Rota to create an innovative installation called “Walk the Talk.” The installation is a response to this year’s Fuorisalone theme, Future Laboratory, and features ideas for future transportation.
The “Walk the Talk” installation, which will be located at Milan’s Brera Botanical Garden from April 17 to 23, 2023, comprises hundreds of boxes, some of which are multimedia. The boxes will activate the garden’s green space with light and sound effects, and a game element developed in partnership with the collective Blob Factory Gaming Studio.

Lixil Global Design for Grohe Spa: Health Through Water
The Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan will host an installation by Grohe Spa called “Health Through Water” from April 18th to April 22nd, 2023. The exhibit, developed by Lixil Global Design, will showcase how Grohe’s sanitary designs can contribute to unique wellness spaces that promote holistic hygiene experiences.
