Nothing headphone 1 delivers transparent design with high res sound

Nothing headphone 1 features custom audio and adaptive anc with long battery life

Nothing has launched its first over-ear headphones, Headphone 1, combining advanced acoustic engineering with the brand’s distinctive transparent design.

The product marks a significant expansion in Nothing’s audio lineup, following the success of its Ear series and growing mobile ecosystem.

Headphone 1 was officially introduced alongside Phone 3 and with global availability beginning July 15.

The design of Headphone 1 continues the company’s philosophy of functional minimalism. Featuring a transparent outer shell with visible internal components, the headphones maintain the visual language Nothing has become known for.

Materials include precision-machined aluminum and a matte silicone headband, giving the product a clean profile. Each earcup houses a custom-built 40 mm dynamic driver, optimized for clarity and balance.

The headphones are certified for Hi-Res Audio and support high-bitrate wireless streaming codecs, offering detailed playback across a broad frequency range.

Headphone 1 also includes hybrid active noise cancellation powered by multiple microphones per earcup. Listeners can adjust ANC levels dynamically, and an adaptive transparency mode ensures users remain aware of their surroundings when needed.

In terms of battery performance, Headphone 1 delivers up to 40 hours of playback without ANC and up to 25 hours with ANC enabled.

A quick-charge feature provides several hours of listening from just a few minutes of charging via USB-C.

Connectivity is another core strength. The headphones support Bluetooth multipoint, allowing simultaneous pairing with two devices. Pairing is simplified through Fast Pair on Android and Made for iPhone integration.

The companion Nothing X app allows users to fine-tune EQ settings, ANC preferences, and gesture-based controls.

Software updates will be rolled out over-the-air, with deeper integration expected for users within the broader Nothing product ecosystem.

Headphone 1 was introduced with a short conceptual film emphasizing a future-forward lifestyle and design culture.

While rooted in performance, the messaging positions the headphones as a visual and tactile experience, aligning with Nothing’s goal to bring character and clarity back into consumer technology.

The product is aimed at a wide demographic, from casual listeners to music professionals, who value form and function without compromise.

This release also aligns with Nothing’s larger strategic direction, which includes developing an interconnected family of devices.

With Phone 3 and new CMF wearables introduced alongside Headphone 1, the company continues to evolve its offerings beyond smartphones.

Headphone 1 stands out as a technical product with a unique visual identity, reinforcing Nothing’s place in a highly competitive audio market.
