Celebrate OFFF Barcelona 25th anniversary with free creative events from May 8 to 10
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, OFFF, the world’s leading international festival of creativity, art, and digital design, is launching a dynamic program of free citywide activities from May 8 to 10 at Disseny Hub Barcelona.
Founded in Barcelona and recognized globally, OFFF has built a legacy over the last quarter-century as a hub for both iconic and emerging voices in the creative community. This milestone edition expands its footprint through “OFFF a la ciutat,” inviting the public to engage with the spirit of innovation that has defined the festival since its inception.
The Screen
At the heart of this celebration is The Screen, a captivating nighttime projection on the Disseny Hub façade. From May 8 to 10, the building will transform into a living canvas for motion design, featuring animations from an open call curated in collaboration with Frameboy.
The experience includes work from both new and established creators and showcases 25th-anniversary pieces selected by renowned filmmaker and experiential designer Nathalie Van Sasse Van Ysselt. It is a celebration of visual storytelling at its most immersive.
La Plaça Design Market
Another standout feature of the anniversary edition is La Plaça Design Market, a vibrant pop-up destination by the lake that highlights a diverse collection of creative brands.
The market includes handcrafted and contemporary products from local and international design stores such as BRUTTO, HEY, OMG BCN, and VOLVER.
This curated experience offers design enthusiasts a chance to discover original pieces and engage with the makers behind them in an open-air creative atmosphere.
NXT project
Furthering its commitment to nurturing young talent, OFFF presents NXT, an initiative spotlighting student work from 12 of Barcelona’s most prestigious design and creativity schools.
From LABASAD to La Salle, the platform hosts a lineup of student pitches and interactive exhibitions, allowing visitors to witness the next generation of designers and digital artists in action. NXT embodies the festival’s enduring belief in education, experimentation, and the future of creativity.
