Leveraging Microsoft’s AI Copilot, the company aims to revolutionize workflows and enhance value across the entire asset lifecycle. To support the launch of these AI-driven advancements, the creative studio Øyedrops was entrusted with developing a comprehensive visual motion and design language that would articulate the essence of this transformation.

The project posed unique challenges due to its abstract focus on data visualization, large language models (LLMs), plugins, and workflows. The aim was to create a cohesive and modern aesthetic that conveyed positivity and approachability, deliberately avoiding the darker, intimidating stereotypes often associated with AI. By crafting a visual narrative that balanced complexity with clarity, Øyedrops worked to ensure the representations were not only compelling but also easily digestible for diverse audiences.

The production process, spanning from early May to late September, was meticulous and multifaceted. The initial two weeks were dedicated to preproduction, including scripting, moodboarding, and collaborative creative sessions with the client. This was followed by four to five weeks of intensive 3D production, where tools like Cinema 4D, Houdini, and Redshift were employed to bring the vision to life. Post-production was carried out using After Effects to assemble and refine the visuals, ensuring the final product met the high standards of both Øyedrops and Kongsberg Digital.

A critical aspect of the project involved organizing and managing the substantial amount of data and assets. The team adhered to a strict system for naming and version control to streamline collaboration and maintain efficiency. Despite the demanding schedule and the challenges inherent in rendering complex scenes, the studio successfully delivered high-quality outputs, including a one-minute spot, a 30-second spot, software explanatory films, and tutorial packaging.

The visual style emphasized the synergy between human interaction and abstract data, with variations in tempo and intensity tailored to different user experiences. This dynamic approach showcased both the quick insights and in-depth capabilities of Kongsberg Digital’s AI-powered services, seamlessly integrating the visual language across frontend and backend solutions.

The campaign was launched at an industry event in late September, subsequently rolled out on websites, social media platforms, and internal communications. For Øyedrops, this collaboration not only marked a significant professional achievement but also reflected their studio’s adaptability and creative prowess. The team expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with diverse talents and highlighted the value of tools such as Slack, Milanote, Figma, and the Adobe suite in streamlining preproduction.
