“Ripples In The Sun” by Peter Anderson is a lush, atmospheric song that portrays the heart of a tropical paradise, far removed from the artist’s native England. It brings an imagery of wandering through intense heat and sunlight and romanticizes the beauty and mystery of warmer climates. Drawing inspiration from 00s trip-hop and funk/soul, the track blends smooth grooves, hazy textures, and soulful undertones to create a soundscape that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
