Reusable Beverage Consumption
Reusable is a project designed by Kalina Gotseva, where sustainability meets innovation. It offers a groundbreaking solution to single-use waste in beverage consumption. This foldable and reusable cup redefines the traditional concept of a drinking vessel, seamlessly integrating into everyday life and inspiring a culture of sustainability one sip at a time. With approximately 500 billion disposable coffee cups used worldwide each year, Reusable’s journey began with a simple question: How can eco-friendly choices be effortlessly integrated into daily routines?
Inspired by the beauty of simplicity and functionality, Reusable was born out of a quest to create a solution that combines convenience with sustainability. The final concept of the foldable cup emerged after countless iterations, material testing, paper prototyping, and 3D printing. Made from durable food-grade silicone, Reusable features a unique collapsible design that transforms it from a full-sized cup into a compact, pocket-friendly form factor.
The challenge of keeping the cup folded led to the ingenious integration of a self-contained cap. This cap not only allows Reusable to be folded but also serves as a protective case, ensuring convenience on the go. The addition of a push-and-pull mechanism for the drinking hole ensures leak-proof convenience, making Reusable ideal for to-go beverages. Every aspect of its design was meticulously considered, from the ergonomic grip and sleek aesthetics to the material efficiency of each mechanism.
Reusable offers versatility without compromise, available in three distinct color options: dark blue, light aquamarine, and vibrant orange. Each hue was carefully selected to evoke a sense of vitality and freshness, reflecting the spirit of the conscious urban individual. Crafted from high-grade, BPA-free silicone, the cups are sustainably colored during the injection molding process using food-safe coloring.
By combining innovative design with sustainable materials, Reusable aims to revolutionize beverage consumption and reduce single-use waste, making eco-friendly choices more accessible and integrated into everyday life.
