Rust-Oleum launches Rust-O, debuting with a vibrant event in Los Angeles
Rust-Oleum has made a striking entrance into the art world with the launch of Rust-O, its first spray paint line created specifically for artists and muralists. This new product marks a significant expansion of the company’s well-established spray paint portfolio, infusing the brand’s legacy of innovation with the expressive, bold energy of street art. With Rust-O, Rust-Oleum aims to empower creatives to transform their visions into vivid realities, embracing the raw authenticity and limitless potential of urban art.
The Rust-O line is more than just a new product; it’s a statement of purpose and passion for the creative community. According to Natalie Klemko, product manager at Rust-Oleum, the launch is deeply rooted in imagination and a genuine respect for artists. She emphasized that this product is designed to encourage fearless creativity and to inspire artists to explore new boundaries with every spray.
To celebrate the debut, Rust-Oleum hosted an electrifying launch event on March 13 in downtown Los Angeles at the Secret Walls headquarters. The evening featured a high-octane live art battle between industry legend Persue and emerging star George F Baker III.
Each teamed up with a fellow artist—Emily Ding and Allison Bamcat, respectively—for a 90-minute creative showdown. Fueled by energy from the crowd and judged in part by a decibel meter measuring audience response, the winners of the night were George F Baker III and Allison Bamcat.
The event wasn’t just a performance; it was a celebration of the community that Rust-Oleum seeks to uplift. Attendees had the chance to experience the new spray paint firsthand, explore exclusive limited-edition merchandise, and connect with fellow creatives.
The launch was a vibrant testament to Rust-Oleum’s ongoing commitment to the art community, offering a glimpse into the brand’s future efforts to support and elevate artists.
