Sam Wenc: Limitless of Blue

Sam Wenc: Limitless of Blue

Sam Wenc´s “Limitless of Blue” arrives like a quiet revelation,  a piece that doesn’t announce itself so much as open a door into a new sonic architecture. With the release of Language At An Angle, his first album under his own name after thirteen years and fifteen records as Post Moves, Philadelphia composer and interdisciplinary artist Sam Wenc enters a new creative era. The track functions as the gateway to an eight-part tone poem shaped by Wenc’s conversations with form, meaning, and memory, and by the unmistakable spiritual influence of the late pedal-steel visionary Susan Alcorn.

Mikel Patrick Avery’s accompanying video, crafted with the intuitive movement-oriented sensibility he’s honed in Natural Information Society, mirrors that kinetic core. The visuals don’t just accompany the piece; they extend it, turning Wenc’s sonic motion into a tactile, almost tool-like form of expression.
