SCAM: Pleasure (feat. BRÍET)

SCAM’s “Pleasure” brings BRÍET has a steady indie-dance groove built around a four-on-the-floor beat and a bassline that follows its pulse. The hi-hats add a syncopated pattern, while shakers and muted congas fill out the rhythm. A warm synth pad sits behind a brighter arpeggiated line, with a sampled guitar chord adding a sharper edge to the arrangement.

The track starts with a sparse section before adding more layers and pushing the beat forward. The synths change character as their filters open and close, moving between brighter and softer tones. BRÍET’s contribution gives the arrangement another voice to work with, while the instrumental parts keep the groove at the centre. The shift towards a fuller middle section gives the track its main lift.

SCAM keeps the production focused on the interplay between its dance beat and indie-pop details. The bass and kick hold a consistent pulse as the synths provide most of the movement above them. “Pleasure” is built for the dancefloor, with enough changes in texture to keep the groove from standing still.
