Hormongraphy, a concept design of a lounge chair that affects the secretion of the serotonin hormone is designed by Seo Hanju, a student of Korea Polytechnic University.
This chair aims to correct deficiencies of serotonin, also known as ‘happy hormone’, and maintain the sitter’s biorhythm by design elements. As the function of ‘Hormongraphy’ is based on Eastern Asian medical ideas, the chair aims to regenerate the sitter’s biorhythm by using it routinely. Based on the anatomy of the human body, textured tactile bumps are designed to be placed mainly in a range of the backrest to stimulate the tick part of muscles and skin layers.
