The Capsules’ “Full Moon Factory” turns electricity into something exchanged between people, placing human connection inside the band’s darkwave and dreampop world. Pulsating textures, evocative melodies, and vocals give its nocturnal setting a physical presence, while the full moon provides a natural point of focus. The accompanying animation extends that setting through handmade imagery, with the band appearing as characters inside a horror-inspired story.
The idea of a factory gives the moonlit world a strange mechanism beneath its surface. Something is being made, but the ABOUT does not reduce that process to a simple explanation, leaving the electricity to move between people as the night opens around them. Miranda Parkin’s hand-drawn animation pushes the same idea into another medium, turning the band members into participants in a world that can be playful and eerie without losing its darkness.
The timing adds another layer to the image. A harvest moon, the weeks before Halloween, and a limited etched 12-inch all place “Full Moon Factory” inside a physical season rather than an abstract one. The moon rises, the characters enter their story, and whatever happens inside the factory starts there.
