The MOVE Rocking Chair

In 2024, the MOVE rocking chair, designed by Rossella Pugliatti for Giorgetti, marks its 10th anniversary. This elegant and sinuous piece, as graceful as an étoile, has redefined the concept of comfort with its unconventional lines and innovative design.

The creation of MOVE is the result of an extensive research process into the mechanics of solid pieces. Drawing inspiration from the organic forms found in nature, it reinterprets them through Giorgetti’s rich tradition of fine cabinet making.

The chair’s remarkable complexity stems from its organically shaped and woven double frame, consisting of 31 pieces of solid ash wood with varying sections. Available in natural, anthracite grey, biscuit, and ash grey finishes, the first frame accommodates the upholstered seat and backrest, while the second supports them and facilitates the rocking motion.

The lightness of the curved parts and the dynamism of its design give MOVE a unique and unparalleled beauty. The ergonomic seat, crafted from compact rigid polyurethane and flexible polyurethane foam, provides perfect support and envelops the body for maximum relaxation.

Whether enjoying moments of rest, drinking tea or coffee, reading a book, listening to music or podcasts, or engaging in conversation, the convex-shaped seat and backrest offer an exceptional level of comfort.
