Tom Feral

Tom Feral is an independent American producer who moves between experimental electronic music, club sounds, and alternative hip hop. His work draws on contrasting textures and rhythms, from unusual melodic fragments to heavy bass and large EDM drops. These five tracks show different sides of that approach, moving from playful sound design to personal reflections and dancefloor euphoria.

Mango

“Mango” is melodic deep house built for the pleasure of being on a dancefloor. At 124 BPM, warm synths and bouncy basslines set up an uplifting first drop, followed by a short build and a bigger second one. Inspired by his time living in Mexico and the connections he made at Burning Man, the track celebrates the feeling of being alive. It keeps the focus on movement, shared energy, and the simple joy of a good night.

Camel Cowboy

Tom Feral’s “Camel Cowboy” builds a dubstep track around a sitar riff that keeps changing shape. The melody gets chopped and twisted between distorted synths, heavy bass, and irregular rhythms. The mix of an instrument with a distinct melodic character and aggressive electronic sounds gives the track a strange, playful edge.

Smoji

“Smoji” pushes toward the euphoric side of Tom Feral’s electronic sound. Massive builds and soaring melodies lead into explosive drops made for a dancefloor with hands in the air. The track became a favorite from his album Mango and closed his sold-out album release party in Denver. Its job is simple: keep the energy rising until the crowd has nowhere else to go.

Wreckage

Tom Feral’s “Wreckage” deals with the aftermath of a breakup and the difficulty of letting someone go. It also marks one of his first songs where he recorded and performed all the vocals himself. The refrain, “In the wreckage of our chemistry, thoughts that no one can see,” gives a voice to the thoughts that remain after a relationship ends. Atmospheric synths and emotional melodies carry the song through that sense of absence.

Invisible Hole

“Invisible Hole” takes on suicidal ideation and the search for hope across six minutes of electronic music. Two minutes of orchestral sounds, programmed strings, and spoken reflections in Feral’s own voice establish a delicate opening before distorted synths, heavy drums, sirens, and sharp rhythmic breaks take over. The final build leads into a euphoric EDM drop, creating a stark change in mood. Darkness and hope remain part of the same journey, without one simply erasing the other.
