About the Competition
The UX Design Awards 2024, a global competition specifically focused on user experience and design organized by the International Design Center Berlin (IDZ), is now open for entries.
This competition focuses on the positive impact of people-centered solutions, concepts and research. Positive user experiences increase people’s satisfaction, expand their possibilities and build their trust in organizations, businesses, systems, services and products. The awards reflect the impact of experience design on creating a positive living environment for all.
Companies, agencies, professionals and young designers from around the world are invited to present their best work in three competition categories: “Product” and “Concept” for the professional sector and “New Talents” for emerging designers.
A jury of renowned experts will nominate exceptional projects to compete in the UX Design Awards 2024 and select the winners. The selected projects will receive the title UX Design Award | Appointed. They will benefit from extensive promotion and will participate in the jury for prizes and special mentions.
Submission Conditions
Solutions for all industries and application areas will be accepted.
Submissions must include digital or electronic interfaces or functions. The release on the market – or the start of the development process – must not be more than two years old at the time of submission.
Evaluation Criteria
The UX Design Awards are judged on the following criteria: relevance, empowerment, innovation, outcome and business value, holistic thinking and user-centered approach, design and quality of experience.
Eligibility
Professionals – companies, design offices, R&D units – can present recent projects (two years maximum) in two competition categories:
Product: Open to new market-ready products, services and experiential environments
Concept: open to prototypes, MVPs, service concepts, conceptual environments, prospective studies and research projects
Students, graduates and schools can register bachelor’s or master’s projects in the New Talents category.

By awarding the UX Design Award | However, the jury made up of experts in design, research and business rewards the best projects in each competition.

In each category, the jury awards the following titles to recognize exceptional products, concepts, services and research projects: UX Design Award | Product, UX Design Awards | Concept, and among emerging designers, the UX Design Award | New talents.
Additionally, UX professionals and users around the world vote online to select a UX Design Award | People’s choice among all nominees.
