VENINI and Paco Rabanne Collection
An extraordinary collaboration between two legendary brands, VENINI and Paco Rabanne, has resulted in the creation of the exclusive “1969 Artisan Edition” capsule collection. Blending the centuries-old tradition of Murano glass craftsmanship with Paco Rabanne’s avant-garde design, this collection is a centerpiece of the French Maison’s Spring-Summer 2025 line, envisioned by Julien Dossena. The collection pays homage to Paco Rabanne’s iconic assemblage bag, while celebrating the art of Venetian glass.
Known for its pioneering spirit, Paco Rabanne has always embraced both craftsmanship and cutting-edge techniques, constantly seeking new ways to elevate fashion. For the SS25 season, the house extended its creative reach by joining forces with master glassmakers, resulting in a collection that redefines the relationship between fashion and artisan art.
The “1969 Artisan Edition” is distinguished by its meticulous arrangement of 240 Murano glass discs, available in six colorways. The production process is a feat of precision and artistry. Each glass panel is treated to achieve a distinctive marbled effect and smooth color gradients before being fired in a kiln at 770°C for 24 hours. After cooling, the discs are carefully cut using a water jet, hand-drilled, and then reheated for another 24 hours at 600°C. The edges are painstakingly polished, ensuring a flawless finish.
The “1969 Artisan Edition” is more than a fashion piece—it’s a celebration of heritage and innovation. This partnership marries age-old glassmaking techniques with visionary design, creating a collection that transcends fashion and enters the realm of collectible art.
